Psychologist
One of the most important aspects of success in counseling is your relationship with your therapist. With me, you will know that you are honored, respected, cared about, and listened to. I take pride in you and believe in your potential. I actively partner with you to overcome your stresses, worries and barriers, improve confidence and self-esteem, take effective and appropriate action, and create the life and relationships you desire and achieve the joy and victory you deserve. I can work with you from a secular, spiritual, or Christian perspective, whichever you prefer. I also provide mental training for peak performance and clinical hypnosis when desired.
I love counseling and coaching, and have been doing it for over 40 years. I am also the author of 6 books, including The 8 Keys to Becoming Wildly Successful and Happy, Joy and Victory NOW!: How to attain the "peace that surpasses all understanding", The New Way to Compete, and Power Strategies of Jesus Christ: Principles of leadership from the greatest motivator of all time.
In addition to earning my Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee, I studied 1 year at the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, and studied sport psychology and mental training with the head of the Institute of Sport Psychology at Orebro University in Sweden. I have served on the adjunct faculty of the Johns Hopkins University and the American Institute of Management.
I have pioneered in healthy competition and mental training for peak performance, and developed the "8 Keys System for Peak Achievement" that improves individual performance, and teamwork while reducing stress.
Having also been trained in Critical Incident Stress Management, i spent 3 weeks in New York after 9-11 working with those affected, and work with individuals and firms coping with such events as bank robberies and employee murder.
My interests include Renaissance Music and Gilbert and Sullivan, I sing with Camerata Musica and at local coffee houses.
